The Queen of Cups as my guiding light in leadership

~The Queen of Cups~

(Pamela Colman Smith - c. 1909 - The Queen of Cups from the "Smith-Waite" Tarot)

The Queen of Cups as my guiding light in leadership

I recently attended a workshop and discovered that in my astrological chart - my Sun/Ascendant positions gave me the "double" Queen of Cups.  (I am a Cancer/Cancer ascendant.) These are the positions that Doubled me as Queen of Cups.  My moon is in Libra, which is a Queen of Swords.

This Queen of Cups occurred to me several months ago, when I was exploring my leadership style and how I would best lead as a group facilitator.

The Queen of Cups is a gentle leader.  She uses her femininity and emotions to make decisions that are in the spirit of kindness. To open to other ideas, to flow with the group she leads and to use the knowledge of the emotions in these situations.

In my own life, I am absolutely a mix of these two Queens - Cups and Swords.  I’m intellectually driven and I like to have the boundaries and knowledge to get going.  But I have the flow, too.

These two Queens are wonderful and scary together.  I am often blunt, yet, hope it is kind. I am very flowy in the whole and move through life with the best of intentions.  I like SOME structure, but I also have a need to understand the “boundaries” of a project.  I need the outlines to use my flow and go attitude to its best purpose and highest good.  Without those boundaries I will flow right over into territory where I perhaps need not go.

When you think of leading - where do you go? What do you need? Pull a card and see where that journey takes you - whether in your mind or on paper.
